Yup. And it is RANDOM. Dispatcher, 135, whatever. Strangely, no computation or questions involving tables. If you have to look it up on another page in the ATP Gleim, you don't need to study it.

Hi Compass people, got another question.

A friend of mine said HR told him that you can keep working for your current part 121 carrier (or wherever you currently work) all the way up to the point where you complete the home study and need to report back to Compass for sim training. Is this correct?

This would mean that people going up to MSP for the two-day medical/orientation session do not need to quit their other employer at that time and can do the home-study course in their time off from their other job.

I'm asking because ordinarily I understood it to be a no-no to not resign a seniority number while in training for another company. Compass apparently waives this with the home study.

Can anyone verify this?

I know a bunch of people were doing the home study course and flying their other job at the same time even before Compass said it was ok to do so. I did hear from another pilot the company approved it, but I never heard anything from the company.

When I started the company actually advocated staying at your present job while on the 30 day study course. Keeps the paychecks rolling in while you are waiting for your first Compass check to arrive.

On the first day of orientation HR will pass around a waiver for everyone to sign if they will be flying during at home training. No questions are asked, you just have to resign before your first day of indoc in MSP.
