I mean the entire point of this thread is a UA pilot-centric issue, so... The guy easily made an appointment, so in his mind the frustrations that exist all over - here, UA FB posts, MEC emails, etc - are due to everyone else being a lazy, boomer, POS. He's a high speed army aviator that knows it all now after a couple years, so $hit all over your own pilot group. I'm about as checked out as it gets and I, too, easily made an appointment, but that doesn't negate the fact that it's a $hit show.
Many have dealt with this in the military. Brand new LT shows up all excited to deploy. I'm looking at my sixth and will do anything (almost) not to deploy, so I'm a POS. No, I'm freaking tired and worn out. Almost universally, those gung ho types are the biggest whiners when $hit really gets hard. They just haven't experienced hard yet. This is the same. Dude gets hired at the best time in history, he hasn't seen really anything close to negative in the industry, so the veterans who have been through many and now say, "not my problem management", are labeled a lazy POS.
He's probably right for a small percentage, but he painted with a really big brush - kinda like I just did. But reading his comments just on this thread, he definitely fits a type that some of us have dealt with in our past.
