customer service is large part of the airline industry, but as a workgroup we spend very little time with the customer......I'd say a customer experiences 75% inflight, 20% gate agent......less than 5% pilots just slightly above ramp.....

That being said there is a segment of our clientele (mostly in Europe and Asia) that notices how "professional" crews look when walking through the airport. It seems to me however that "professional" is a code word for attractiveness of the mostly female FA's.

All this notwithstanding, if you go to a Uniform fitting....DON'T stand up and walk around like the people will encourage you to do ......rather, SIT DOWN. Then do things like reach forward, raise your arms, and try to mimic getting in and out of a 737 seat.....because that's what you will be doing most of the time in the uniform.
To bad I couldn't come up with a way to simulate doing a run through IAH or ORD to catch a deadhead/commute..........I mean when my midsection becomes all moist...am I going to have pick my front wedgie in middle seat in economy plus.......these are the things that I want in a uniform......if I look "professional" great but if not oh well.....I got you to where it says in the ticket.
