I realize not everyone will want this to go down this road but given the amount of time for this to even be a slight possibility, they can vote yes and prepare now. Our counterpart spirit was only on strike for what 5 days maybe. If we can’t survive for a week of no pay then there’s bigger problems that person should be looking at.
Oh, I'm with you 100%; already cast my vote. I was just saying why I don't think they can close it early. As to the future, I'm prepared to vote against as many bad contract offers as it takes to get a good one; and, I can survive significantly longer than a week in the event of a strike.
I recommend anyone in aviation set aside a contingency fund for strike, furlogh, med-event, bankruptcy, etc. It can be a rough ride sometimes.
