Be careful of "the law of unintended consequences".
They can’t put any more pilots on SC because they are already putting every single available pilot on SC. How about we all voluntarily sit SC as hot reserve at the airport to help out scheduling? Or maybe instead we hold the company to the PWA and don’t short-change ourselves and future pilots by voluntarily waiving contractual guidelines?
