Today, I have SC starting at 1400 and I noticed last night that I have a rotation assigned reporting at 1430. I haven’t been notified via phone yet, so I totally expect a call at 1400 today notifying that I need to report in 30 minutes. I’ll be there, on time of course but I feel like in a way I’m supporting this (perceived) new model of short notice callouts. Ugh.
STOP THE MADNESS!
There is NOTHING that says you have to report 30 minutes after your SC start just becuase scheds say so.
There is no defined timelimit for you to report....this is on purpose. It is generally assumed it will be in the 2'ish hour, but could be 3+ depending on traffic, road condiitons, etc.
Wait for scheduler to call you....they buy the late departure because they know you aren't required to be there in 30 minutes....if you are in the middle of a workout and it takes you and hour or two to shower, grab lunch, take a dump, get back into your uniform, and then get to gate, then so be it.
