Today, I have SC starting at 1400 and I noticed last night that I have a rotation assigned reporting at 1430. I haven’t been notified via phone yet, so I totally expect a call at 1400 today notifying that I need to report in 30 minutes. I’ll be there, on time of course but I feel like in a way I’m supporting this (perceived) new model of short notice callouts. Ugh.

All joking aside, you need to read the SRH regarding your responsibilities while on short call. I would also suggest not even checking iCrew after you've been assigned SC. Let them call you if they need you. If they need to keep the show running on time, they could opt to reroute someone else and keep you on short call for something with a more reasonable short time, or they could put that trip out as a short notice green slip.
