Not even SC, on several occasions on a late GS call out I’ve told the CA (and everyone else via flight family) that I would be at the gate at X time. I’d suggest to the dispatcher and ops to post an X+15 minute departure time. They actually listened once and I showed up as the last pax was boarding and it worked perfectly. In nearly every other instance it was like you described - they boarded on time and everyone sat there for 30+ minutes waiting for me to show up 🤷🏼♂️
Does anyone else feel like this new way of doing SC is borderline abuse? It’s way out of the norm and then they won’t let people bid for more than 6 SCs. I really feel for the commuters who have to deal with this bs. Then they put everyone on SC that they can but there is no way they could ever use everyone who is on SC. It’s like they are trying to have everyone on the SC hook that they can just because.
