But no matter how the grievance shakes out, there’s a lot of cost to the way management is “managing”. It just doesn’t shake out in the data, so they’ll pretend it’s not a cost. Ed doesn’t have a column for all the fatigues that could have been fixed with a little caffeine, all the jet declines for MEL collections that really aren’t too bad, the goodbyes that don’t happen, the wheel chair waiters who hear the actual reason they’re treated like crap, the APU burn because frustration makes pilots grumpy and hot, etc.
Treat people like crap and you pay a price one way or another. Humans are going to human.
