For me, the have to make two hours checking it right at SC start isn't worth the grief. I've been used once off SC since they started this use all SCs thing, that was for a trip reporting at SC1+15, that they didn't bother to call me until SC 0+30 for. I can't make EWR in 45 if I was already suited up, so I just go when called and eventually get there.

It was a JFK international departure but early in the evening so I got full on rush hour fun.

2+18 to the emplo lot once I started driving. Which was about 30 minutes after their call. Then another half hour because bus left as I was parking and construction.

When I was flying up from Virginia, I used 2 hour NC all the time and my backup flight was picked off of what gets in closest to SC+2
I’m a NYC commuter, not a driver like you, and I’ve been using the 2 hr NC for better part of a decade and I have never, I mean not even one time, been asked about what airport I am flying into when I inform them of my 2 hr NC status.
