Call them right at noon when your schedule is locked-in? Call anytime between then and midnight (during which in the meantime they might assign a trip reporting within that 2 hour period)?
I've never gotten pushback calling them late in the evening. It's really to your benefit to notify them as soon as you know so they don't put an assignment <2 hours on your schedule before you can notify them
