OK - Actual reserve question here. I have 3 days of a carry in trip and 3 days of CQ in January. If I understand the rules correctly this will not affect my number of x days but basically counts as 6 pre awarded work days. I ran the John Bell calculator and I think this is correct.
Am I missing anything here?

Nope. John Bell is confirmed accurate.
Remebwr CQ is a work day, and can be combined with a single (or 2) reserve days on the front and/or back. Great way to burn a couple days as unusable. Also, coming off CQ is much like vacation. You are noncontactable while on a CQ calendar day, and don’t go back on LC/contactable until the
later of 9 hours after DH release (or sim debrief if ATL based), or midnight, whichever is later. Don’t let them bait you with reat acknowledgement if noncontactable.
