If he would have gotten hired last year at mesaba then he would have decent seniority but now I am sure he would be on reserve for a while

I never said Compass is not a good regional. Read carefully before jumping the gun. I said Compass is not the best regional by a long shot. That does not equate to saying Compass is not a good regional.
Your numbers don't add up. Compass is slated to receive 36 E175s MAX. The 18 additional options have NOT been exercised. This means at best Compass will hire additional 80 to 90 pilots from the present roster of around 250 or so. The upgrade has to slow down since no majors are hring right now and not expected to until end of 2008 or early 2009.
