That is exactly the mindset the company loves you to have. Let's stay underpaid so they can reward themselves. When the price of fuel goes up, companies adjust. Same with labor costs. I've yet to see ever an airline who went out of business because their pilot costs were too high.
I still can't believe ANYONE would think this way. I mean REALLY? I don't deserve (or shouldn't even ask for) a raise because my company doesn't make money?

When just about every other similar company that doesn't have a crippling equipment issue is?
When the CEO of my company makes $8M (far more than Spirit, Allegiant and some others) even though his salary is mostly dependent cashing in stocks (and that's with a stock price that has dropped from $20 to about $5)?
When we're one of the VERY FEW companies that doesn't offer true first class, wifi, decent food or reclining seats?
When it took this company YEARS to discover the cost of going around WAT airspace far exceeded purchasing HF radios, flying through it and saving passengers hours?
When we carry more passengers than some other airlines do w/ their 767s?
When we're the only pilot group OFFICIALLY asked by the VP of Flt Ops to wear a costume bear glove/claw and waive at passengers and smile?

ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME????

If you think we don't deserve MORE than most other airlines, do me and everyone else a favor and don't vote on the next contract. That's all I ask of you...
