I don’t know. PWA 23.S.5.f.2.b is only talking about scheduling specifically assigning a rest period. When assigning a future rotation the preceding rest period is known and assumed thus it does not need to be specifically assigned. I’m not up on FMRS rules but if such a rotation requires a prospective 24 hour rest period then yes, I’d say if they call you right at 24 hours prior to report and you don’t realize it right away then you would not have legal prospective rest. But that’s really more of its own issue compared to the two hour rest assignment issue.
