And yes...I see weight restricted flights often on the 737, hub to hub on the East Coast.
Actually it is the shorter flights with weather you got to worry about as far as weight restriction. Those are harder to work around than the transcons. 70s technology versus 80s technology? Who cares? As somebody who has flown both, the Airbus is much more comfortable to fly. That is the only thing it has on the 737 and is not worth giving up the senority advantage you get for being on a 737 bid status at American.
