Thanks, Stitches. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I don't project to have a ton of flight time by the time I transition, but then again hiring should be back to more normal by then. It seems to me that it would make a ton of sense for SWA to start something like United's UMPP. Any way to give folks a chance to more or less lock things in while still on AD would make a huge amount of sense for both SWA and for people looking for some security in a very uncertain time of personal and professional transition. Unfortunately, this IS a normal hiring environment. The over-hiring of the past few years was a panic response to the travel demand after the Covid slowdown. All airlines are hiring, albeit at a metered rate, but still just as much as pre-covid. SW still has new hire classes scheduled and will hold more as soon as the politicians kick the FAA in the a$$.
