I think a lot of the political comments that have been made on this forum and others are out of line. Being a Texas based pilot at this airline means you are going to endure a lot of very right leaning politically motivated conversations, some bordering on the absurd. If you don't participate in that, then great. Why do it here?
I have been on my current trip for 3.5 days and I have no idea what the political inclinations of the other pilot are nor do I care.
when I was a FNG here I was basically told how to think, vote, and how to bid open time by the majority of cpts I flew with. I think they see NH as low hanging fruit.
Even had a guy tell me there will be a civil war in the coming months and I needed to get prepared.
Well, still waiting for that one.
I've also been lectured on faith. From christianity, LDS, and even atheism ( which is kinda weird to hear from those guys)
People with insecure beliefs need others to believe the same as they do to make themselves feel better.
I usually just feel sorry for them and read my manuals etc.

I'd welcome a good sports car debate. Sans miatas of course

The flip side of being locked behind a door with someone for 3 days is you get to learn some pretty interesting stuff about travel, hobbies, and side gigs. I have also been able to read about 3-4 books a month (never in the airplane, of course).

Again. Read what I wrote and who it was in response to. Here's a hint. It wasn't him. Then look at the BS he wrote in return anyway. He may be a "great dude," but he was out of line.
