XJ is no longer hiring street CAs but upgrades into Saabs are still very short because they removed the seat locks on Saab CAs and FOs. Many Saab CAs have been moving up to CRJ9s and CRJ200 CA slots. The most junior DTW CRJ9 CA on an alternate list is a May 2007 hire.
Read my above post. I think Compass is a good airline so either way you will be alright in the short run. Both Mesaba and Compass is a good bet right now and if you would rather fly the more advanced E175 with autothrottles go to Compass. I am not saying the current growth at Compass and Mesaba will last forever. Take it while it is still good and move on.
Who do you work for, where are you getting you info from. I have a lot fo friends at Mesaba and they've all been there over a year and a half and they are still FO's, some of them by choice but the upgrade is not 3 to 6 months. Last fall it was but not today
