The Weather Exception in the SRH does not apply. How can they pay the skipper appropriately and then turn around and give me the ole' "act of god" BS? This is starting to feel malicious. Preying on a guy with a high seniority number, perhaps?
I was just about to post a question on this weather exception.
So here's the exact verbiage "The Weather Exception: if a rerouted pilot is not scheduled to release at their base within the time limitation due to their origin or destination airport being closed or
weather on their routing, the pilot will not receive reroute pay under 23 L. 8 or 9."
It seems like you could blame almost any delay on that (airplane was late inbound due to weather so we RRd you to a different flight, timed out waiting for a wheels up time, etc.) I wish it was more clearly defined, or maybe I don't? I am waiting for a week to pass on my last trip but I'm thinking they are going to deny due to the weather exception. At least we have 23 L. 4...
