given that Supersonic over land is prohibited....there are only so many city pairings where it can be used. Which is basically why P and W told him to pound sand and he had so much trouble getting an engine manufacturer. Best of luck to Florida Turbine technologies......but the numbers people at P and W or RR will tell you that the economics of engines is a lot like that of printers. The money is not in the printer itself its when you change the INK....i.e maintenance.

Since there are so few city pairings, there arent going to be enough volume to make much money of the MX........
there is the possibility that given the higher cruise speeds used...the engine will likely get ot overhaul quicker...but either way...unless Supersonic prohbition changes...those reamin pretty tough challenges. Hence why I compared him to Holmes..the idea itself was good and noble of using small amount of blood.....but it was reliant upon machines that didnt really work or rather the technology had yet been developed completely.
Which is why NASA’s X-59 program is working to enable overland supersonic travel with quieter sonic booms.
