I’ve read the ALPA comms on it, but I’m drawing a blank as to what benefit it serves. You can bid 6 SCs in a row, but then get a 6 day trip that just wipes them out right? Then you’re back to square one and have to get 6 SCs up the behind like everyone else. Am I missing something?
What’s the upside?
If you don't want the SCC PNC, you could bid them the last 6 days you are on call for the month so they can't convert you before that. Then just YS a trip to knock them out maybe? Not sure if you can YS a 4 or 5 day on an X-ray the day or so prior and maybe force a 30/168? If you could get a earlyish report late finish 5 day the day prior to the 6 short calls, and strategically bid earlier short calls on the last 2 days, you might be able to knock the last two off between needing rest between rotations and 30/168. Viola, no short calls! Obviously a perfect world example.
Not a reservist. Might be some benefit for commuters to strategically bid them, then force drop them with a YS.
