I had two days of CQ directly followed by 3 days of LC. So, crew scheduler cannot call me and leave me a voicemail on a CQ day indicating my SC (the SC was properly assigned) for the following day has been removed and I now have a trip reporting the following day in less than 18hrs, right?
When you say the SC was properly assigned, how do you know this? You go back on long call at midnight or training completion plus 9 hours (whichever is later). You’re removed from reserve obligations on a training day.
There is no obligation to ascertain your schedule. They must contact you (CNO okay) for the short call DURING long call and the assignment must be 18+ hours from that call. So you won’t know it’s a proper reserve assignment until you check your schedule as a result of a call received on long call.
