Well, I can't say I am surprised, but I just received a letter from Mesaba that my class date (June 30) is cancelled because they are "re-evaluating" and that I am effectively in the hiring pool for the time being. I interviewed in late February, hired in March and have been waiting since. More steep turns and pattern work, Yay!! Best of luck to those of you currently employed, I hope you keep your jobs and for those of you like me I hope you are able to keep working. Hopefully see you in class someday. Seniority is everything in this business. I would continue to interview and consider a carrier that can get you into class ASAP. We have had our big period of growth here at Mesaba. It is going to be status quo for a while.
Keep your options open. If for whatever reason, Mesaba is the only choice for you, we welcome you. However, if Mesaba is a step in the ladder to the mainline, I would interview and get hired ASAP by another carrier who is filling classes.
