based on the discussion it sounds like we will have to be using our current gates as much as is humanly possible (and maybe more) to make sure we don't lose some gates in 2026, since we will only have the new gates (if it goes as planned/required in the lease agreement) for Oct on in 2025. So, the 2025 numbers will be based on 9 months of the current gate structure and 3 months of the additional gates.
The good news is that puts AA (mostly), Spirit, and WN in the postion of adding capacity at ORD that will increase their losses or not adding capacity and losing the gates for the long term!
If we in fact get the 6 gates and can keep them for all of 2026 as well, then this is the beginning of true domination at ORD as the big hold up has been gate space, gate space and gate space according to the routing guys for the last couple of years!
