While I understand the logic from your lack of experience in the 121 world, I think you should evaluate what you’re actually saying VS reality. The company isn’t going to do anything to you for wearing a stupid lanyard. If anything all you’re going to do is **** off someone you’re flying with because you’re a blow hard for the company in their eyes. Do as you please, but I can’t sit here and let you think this logic of being on probation and wearing a lanyard that is supposed to show unity within our pilot group will affect your job.
