If I were brand new to the company and it was my very first 121 job ever, I would feel like I was painting a target on myself wearing a union lanyard or worse yet a strike lanyard. Everyone is free to do whatever they like, but accosting someone for not wearing a union lanyard when they are flying a jet for the first time just trying not to screw up is pretty insensitive.
I never gave anyone a hard time about not wearing a lanyard. You made that leap just now. I’m just pointing out it’s not a problem and it’s definitely not something that will lead to disciplinary action.
