Would you give your hard earned money to the same group once you get hired by your desired major? You’re better off using that time to pick up a trip and building more flight time. Trust me (some internet stranger), interviewers aren’t hiring based off the number of intersectional pilot groups you give money to just to tell you that they’re not hiring right now. When the hiring picks up again, your flying experience will count more and maybe the BTC will turn in to **** you money. Stack sats and flight time…much better investment.
vehemently disagree. 2022/2023 are over. Gone are the days of airlines beating down your door to have you join their ranks. Those were two fluky years.

The reality is, going forward, it's going to be up to the candidate to stand out. It does you no good to do the bare minimum and hope that it'll be good enough. Flight time? Everyone will have it. Going to job fairs will demonstrate to airlines that you have the ability to actually show up to something, step outside your comfort zone, engage in a conversation, and push yourself.

Call it BS if you want. But doing the bare minimum won't be good enough going forward.
