No "fashion noose" for me on the flightdeck or when incognito. You are free to call me slovenly and unprofessional, I don't care. I comply with the uniform (sans hat) but only when required. There is a lot of time that it isn't required. The hat debate will rage on until it gets changed. I will serve the penalty if/when enforced, just as I would have during negotiations and with orange lanyards. Today's Delta allows freedoms with every other work group's attire so I really don't think I'm pushing corporate boundries but rather flight ops intransigence.
