I am astounded by the misdirected anger among our pilot group.

You all are mad at the union and not the company. Honestly, it's almost unbelievable and deeply concerning. The company is the one we are fighting against, the union is the one on our side fighting the company on your behalf. I shouldn't have to say that but a lot of you seem to have gotten confused.

You guys can't both be mad that union guys are getting FPL and at the same time be mad that they aren't doing more work for you. You guys want the union to apply public pressure on the company but get mad when someone drives the strike bus (a mobile billboard) to the location Biffle is giving a public speech with media present.

You want the union to listen to your demands but get mad when the reps get a day off to meet with the negotiating committee to explain to them your demands.

The union is sitting on a pile of cash but you guys all get mad that they might spend it fighting on your behalf.

The company is going to do absolutely everything single thing in their power to not pay you another penny. They aggressively don't want to compensate you like United and Delta. They don't care about you. You are nothing more than a line item on their budget and they want that number to be as small possible.

Please for the love of God, stop attacking the union. We need to be unified. Unified against the company. The union is our team.

BTW, in the past I used to be accused of being a company insiders and in the chief pilots office. I say that to make clear how out of wack the pilot group has gotten regarding the union. If a guy who has frequently been called a management troll on these forums is telling you that you have your anger misdirected, you should recognize how screwed up the thinking here has gotten. Get behind the union. We have a long hard fight ahead and we are never going to get this done b|thing about our own team in this fight.
