When I bid WB B, I entered the category at 90%. Three years laters I was 95%. When I bid my current seat I barely got in at 75%, but a year laters I was around 30%. It's alll a crapshoot, but I guess I can see the appeal of an quick/easy method to dream, especially if it's a nominal fee.

His retirement picture in the Atlanta pilot lounge was filled front and back, and an additional foamboard as well, with nothing but compliments and thanks for everything he did for the pilot group over the years. Probably 500 signatures.

Subjectively I think people's opinions on him are driven primarily by where they were hired, where they are based, and more recently, who they have flown with that likes grinding axes. Objectively he helped bring the pilot group and Delta as a whole to where we are now. If that makes him a bad guy...

For many, I don't think it's a hate on him personally (though I get some do dislike him). I've had some great offline conversations with Curly, he's a nice guy and seems to truly love helping people. It's more the the double standard of killing other things that were helpful to the pilot group, but letting him continue.
