True. He has helped bring the pilot group to where we are now--but not in the revisionist history way you're attempting. He played a major role in keeping the pilot group eternally vigilant against the kind of "unionism" that brought us TA1 and "moakism."

He disdained line pilots, thought we were too stupid to make the right choices, and took pride in his attempts to gaslight and mislead us during the TA1 era.

He also hated FNWA pilots with a passion, as individuals, every one of them.

So yes, to the extent he provided lessons on the dangers of top-down unionism "what not to do," he left his mark as a bad guy.

Exactly what do you think is role was in bringing Delta "to where [they] are now?" He was a mid-level union functionary and political hack. Other than leaking to Delta, he had zero role in any managment decisions.

And I won't even get into the role he played shilling for two paycuts and a raft of work rule concessions during bankruptcy, and don't forget the pension giveaway.
