Always, always, always, keep the wife happy. It will pay dividends. even if they are dangling a shiny new airplane at you at another company, if it will have the potential to upset your QOL, tread carefully. I made the decision, when I separated from the AF, to go to a company that had family friendly(as much as that is possible) lines to bid. there were places that paid more, but were domiciled, required commuting or had 3 week trips or more as the standard.
