The majority of SWA pilots seem to get a hotel room versus a Crashpad. It makes sense. Our company loves using Reserves and if you put Fly as your preference, you’re going to get used most of the time. It’s hard to see a Fly-preference reserve having to get hotel more than 3-5 nights a month…which is about the cost of a snore-fest Crashpad.
Ok that makes sense, it’s good to hear that those on reserve are being used. At my current place, let’s just say I’ve been called for 2 day trips out of 10 days of reserve, still have another 8 days to get through this month.
