It’s mental health awareness month. I know because it’s been in every newsletter and update this month. You know what I’d love to hear the company’s response to that reason on a GFB call.

I worked Pro Standards in a previous company. Every call, somewhere in the crew interview it was revealed that a crew member was not “in the green.” This is a huge threat mitigation for me since. If things in my life are too stressful or distracting, I’m not going to be focused enough flying. Sick call.

If what the company says is true I’d love to know what I’m supposed to do if I get a GFB call and while physically fine, I did not pass my IMSAFE checklist. Nobody wants to be that poster child but it’s all I think about when I read the corporate speak about mental health.
