Regarding "fitness for duty":
Repeated 4am report times in the same rotation (even when "acclimated") mean multiple 3 am-ish wake up calls on certain fleets/bases.
Said it once, I'll say it again: the improving accuracy of "wearables" that track sleep data are going to mean the death knell of all kinds of trips.
(If we "trust the science". Hot tip: We don't.)

neither the company nor pilots actually want schedules conducive to health and safety. we love commutability

Considering my only bid line on PBS is no show times before 10am, I'd love this

"We" all don't love commutability, I'd love to have something like your propose. It's pretty easy to stay just AM or just PM, even if you are forced to fly bid packet trips. What you're talking about is a big reason I prefer to clear my schedule and fly turns. Wake up in my own bed, fly a turn that TAFB is usually less than 6 hours and make it home in time to make dinner. Even if I fly afternoon trips, I'm usually home well before I'd normally go to bed, so I'm staying on my normal wake/sleep cycle. While we have some early getups, I generally feel better by not flying redeyes, staying within one time zone and staying on am flying (I had 30 hours due to the body clock swap). Another big benefit of this is bringing my own food, which is much better than crap found on the road. All of these things are probably a big reason I don't regularly use 100+ hours of sick/year.

Another idea for a soft pay addition to the next contract..
If a pilot submits a pay fix that is awarded they get an additional 1hr pay. If the company denies it, the union flights it and wins, the pilot gets 2 hours additional pay.
Need to force them to fix this nonsense. My pay is wrong almost every month.

In all honesty, the only way the company can object to this ask is to admit there is such a serious problem, that they cannot afford the ask. It's brilliant, in a way.
That said, there would have to be second-order-effect language about removing pay errors in our favor sometime later. If they realize they paid us in error, the penalty pay stays.

I’d also like to see an increase in contracted days off in C26. This 12 min, 1 more based on guarantee and potentially an extra if staffing is adequate… 14/15 depending on guarantee minimum. A reserve day should be worth close to ADG imo.

100% agree with that. There needs to be a serious disincentive for them wantonly denying claims.
And again, if they pay you just to keep from being penalized, then later audit the transaction and determine it was in error, we should keep the penalty pay permanently. that part should be non-revokable, at least.
