CA26 Hourly Pay Rate Analysis

What do you guys think about this hourly pay rate analysis link?

It suggests that for our most senior 1985 hire to have maintained rate parity with other white collar jobs like Drs, Dentists, and Lawyers the top hourly rate would need to be $741.

Our rate has fallen behind in inflation-adjusted terms while profits are way up in inflation-adjusted terms.

Not sure how helpful it is to compare to other professions over a 40 year span, especially in completely different industries. That pay rate would require about a 50% pay raise, which ain't ever happening. I think a much more useful analysis is where are inflation adjusted pay rates, and where are they relative to company performance.

What do doctors and lawyers get for their retirement plans? Do they get $46,000 a year of company money?

Are we talking about collective bargaining in a free market or government intervention?

In a free market there is no collective bargaining.

Dude I agree with you on most things politically, but this isn't the place for comments like this.. you're not going to win any friends or change any minds.

Our rates should be as high as possible with a strong "me too" clause. Inflation is here to stay.
