In an attempt to save $ in negotiations Alpa decided to save costs on hotel rooms by replacing two chi grievance members with a den Pilot. These two chi pilots were putting in 30-40 hrs of work a week mostly on days off because there was very little fpl to go around. This den pilot wasted a bunch of time arguing with legal, wanting to employ a new software grievance tracking system, (after everyone had been trained on Alpa’s system). It goes on and on the time this guy wasted. He didn’t do anything grievance related and didn’t know the contact pretty much at all.
I would get calls from reps. What’s up with this guy? I would tell them bring back the chi members and drop half their schedule if necessity because this guy is going to cost the group millions because you wanted to save a few hundred a month in hotel costs.
This feels a bit similar but much worse. And it should have never went public.
It doesn't sound settled. Also I think i have a right to know if 1-3 of the MEC is in real danger of a recall based on four guys.
