Non-cons get raises based on industry standard to keep them from organizing. If we got their 4-5% during section 6 we would lose less TVM and maintain purchasing power as a COLA. The company won't not give raises just because we are in sect. 6 because that would create too much issue. Delta has always prided itself on industry leading pay and profit sharing as a hedge against organization by work groups. If they were to withhold raises from non-cons then we would have more leverage. As long as the company can afford nominal raises we should get them and not be forced to wait because that just fractures resolve and gives the company an advantage in negotiations.
