I have no doubt this is happening but I don' think the CPO behavior is entirely at fault.
The group hired since 2014 currently do not have to worry about lost retirement, pensions, etc.
The 2014-2022 group largely cut their teeth in the trenches of the regionals in the "lost years." The mindset there wasn't one of always going above and beyond due to bad treatment by their managements.
Then there are the generational issues. The younger generations don't believe work is everything. It's not a personally defining attribute. So, they tend to work their schedule and worry less about working on off days. Money doesn't always drive them.
