Clearly egregious offenders need to be dealt with, but it’s an odd choice to choose uniform compliance to focus on at this point in time. Recently Delta has spent years and tens of millions of dollars on uniform refreshers for FA’s, pilots, gate/ticketing agents and ground personnel. They have completely botched every one of them. If there are problems with uniform compliance, it might be time for management to look inward. It’s bad form to put management incompetence on public display and then choose to punish the employees.
i doubt they’re going to be hassling anyone for wearing the uniform in good faith despite the missteps of management. if anything, it’s probably an overheard discussion about intentional and flagrant disregard for the standards.
but that doesn’t rile up the masses as much as thinking they’re going to be nitpicking your pants brand.
