Pilots really like the day trips and out and back model. It has absolutely insulated management from some of the worst attrition. Until pilots stop wanting to spend time with their family and sleep in their own bed the attrition won’t be as extreme.
Oh trust me, I wasn’t implying that attrition will somehow get us a contract. Management made it clear in 2023 that they don’t give a crap about attrition. They’ll just reduce the schedule if they need to.
I honestly don’t see how a contract ever happens unless something changes radically.
