Thing is, I expect to get a new contract here at some point. (Not holding my breath obviously or everyone below me would be moving up a number)
If the current pay rates were locked in until I retire, then yes, I would be working very hard to leave for united or delta. But that's not the case. We will catch up a good chunk of the way and I'll still get to keep my seniority and QOL. Win win for me. That's why I'm not leaving for united to be a junior gear slinger in a guppy I have to commute for.
