Fair enough. I think we're saying the same thing. SC 2-hour non-contactable is PWA-safe, has certain advantages for all (not just commuting) pilots, and the company can and often does screw it up.
At the same time, there ARE (unlikely but possible) ways that a pilot can screw it up as I mentioned (not checking their schedule properly) that are also worth pointing out.
