Ok, I admit, I'm bored on the layover and happy-hour doesnt start for 5 more hours, but Grant you ask a good question. Reference the UPS/DHL announcement it was announced that UPS may bring some of the Mighty "8"'s out of the desert. Except for the fuel costs, I would think the company really likes that airframe. Just a guess on my part.
Also in the cargo thread you can probably see that UPS will start deliveries of 767-300s in 2009-almost 30 in the original order. I speculate there may be more down the road due to the failure of Boeing to secure the Air Force's tanker order...just speculation on my part.
