No reason to acknowledge the CNO message converting you to short call, either.
You’re not required to acknowledge it, you’re only required to be promptly available at the start of the assigned short call. If you are
unfit to begin the short call, you need to let them know no later than 3 hours prior to start. 23.S.6.
Same for rotations assigned to you while on long call status. You “acknowledge” by reporting for the rotation.
