A junior manned assignment is typically a bad thing. In the past it meant pilots being forced to work on their days. Now it's a proffer and first to call back gets it for 200% pay. Not what an inverse assignment was intended to be.
As evidenced by the ALV restriction. It’s there to protect pilots. Flying an IA over the restriction is no different than trying to fly over vacation.
