I flew with one A-10 guy hired in the 90s a shade under 30. I think he was guard. Not sure how military much younger could get hired even with the lower UPT commitment. Probably weird one off situations here and there.
Youngest in my class was 25 with the next being 28 and average about 34 in 1986. The 25 guy was a civilian with a 1000 plus hours in the 707.
