How long ago was the resolution of the deferral, and how long have you been off the SSRI? What is the status of the condition for which the SSRI was prescribed? The medication is always only part of the equation; the underlying condition for which it is issued is always the prime concern; with the secondary concern being the effects of the medication.
so I applied for a first class medical and got deferred for special issuance under SSRI path 2 (requiring extra testing / information). I’ve since decided to go off medication with the hopes of reapplying under SSRI path 1 (med free and stable for 60 days). The underlying condition was a misdiagnosis, which I’m not sure the FAA cares about, but I’m hoping to just go through the regular route after receiving supporting documentation from my treating psychiatrist.

This all happened within the last month FYI. Would appreciate any info you may have!
