My stance has always been this - once I have been awarded or assigned a SC period, that is my last known obligation to the comany unless otherwise notified while on a contactable status. If the company chooses to remove a SC period once I am in pre-SC rest, I have no proper way to be notified of that and I start my SC at the assigned time. That's always been my discusion with them on the phone - you guys assigned me a SC period, and I sat SC as assigned. That in my mind warrants, at a minimum, one hour SCC for sitting a SC period and not being used. I can't just choose to not show up for a rotation assignment, and similarly I can't choose to not just sit a properly assigned SC period. That's on them for removing it without proper notification. Suit up pay is due for reporting to the airport for a removed rotation, and I've gotten them to give me one hour SCC for "reporting" for a removed SC. Once I even got them to retroacticely place the SC back on my schedule to count for one of my max for the month.
